Our Dogs

At Boggwater our aim is to try to breed working dogs that the normal shooting person wants to use on a normal days shooting. We don't all aspire to being field trialing champions and so, although good proven trialing stock is important (and shows in our lines), it isn't the be-all and end-all of what we look for. All our dogs are proven in the field first, before being considered for breeding, and health testing is now a prominent part of all our breeding. We always aim to meet the standards that are expected of each of our breeds. Below are our current wonderful dogs. Click on the button by each dog for more details of pedigree etc.

Poppy

Sixchimnies Swan of Boggwater

Poppy

English Springer Spaniel. Bitch

Double World Series Scurry Champion and has amassed prizes to the value of over £40,000 in her career.

Obsessive retriever for a spaniel and a truly loyal dog that has always given everything she has, whether on a shoot or in a competition.

A dog to whom we will always owe everything we have.

Bella

Deckerdale Chelsea Red of Boggwater

Bella

Fox Red Labrador. Bitch

Our foundation labrador bitch and has the great rarity of a 0,0 hip and elbow score, which is a great asset for us moving forward in the breeding line.

Fantastic game finder that never seems to waste any effort huntng empty ground, super steady and has never let us down shooting or picking up

Dillon

Boggwater Granite Star
Dillon

English Springer Spaniel. Stud

World Series Scurry Champion and son of Poppy

Probably the least impressive pedigree of all our dogs but he is by far the best all round dog we think we will ever own. He can do everything and make it look easy and was so easy to train. He also passes these great assets to his offspring

The most laid back spaniel I have seen and a pleasure to be with, whatever you want him for.

Katie

Beggarbush Iris

Katie

Black Cocker Spaniel. Bitch

A pedigree to die for and can be worked by anyone. I never need to worry where she is as she never wants to be far away. Great beating dog and finds the birds others miss as she never takes in too much ground. She has a fantastic maternal instinct and produces lovely pups

Stamford

Boggwater Pinotage Bell

Stamford

Fox Red Labrador. Stud

Son of Bella, who was mated to FTCh Brackenbury Minnow, Stamford is a fantastic gamefinder with a very soft, easy going nature. He always wants to please you and can be worked by anyone.

He has spent so much time with Dillon, our spaniel, that at times he is a springer and faces cover like one. If something has been shot and is down, he will find it, if he doesn't then I doubt it was shot in the first place!

Bonzo

Boggwater Monster Munch

Bonzo

Chocolate Cocker Spaniel. Stud

Son of Katie and the youngest dog I have taken shooting at only 7 and a half months, and wasn't even a year old when that shooting season finished. Great dog for the future as he has had such a first season and I expect him to be one of our best dogs in our picking up team for the 2017 season.

Daisy

Boggwater Terrybell

Daisy

Fox Red Labrador. Bitch

Bella's pup with something extra that Bella wasn't blessed with - raw speed.

Still very young but we expect Daisy to fit in alongside Bella. She picked up all season this year and never let me down. She proved to be very steady under immense pressure. Great marking ability and always seems to be on the right side of the wind so rarely runs past her mark.

Reba

Reba

Reba

English Springer Spaniel. Bitch

She came to us as a six month old puppy and she has taken time to settle into how we do things at Boggwater, but she is growing in confidence.

John

Boggwater Chipstix

John

Cocker Spaniel. Dog

One of our up and coming dogs

Charley

Greenbush Charley

Charley

English Springer Spaniel. Dog

One of our up and coming dogs.
